Happy Endings are our favorite part of animal rescue. Getting cute pictures from the adoptive parents is what makes it all worth it! Here are a few of the kitties we have saved recently!
Meet Stoli! He is the true inspiration of The Kitty Connection! He was dumped with his sister in a box behind a building late at night...came inside, and never left! He is the true Kitty Connection mascot!
Meet Ella! Ella is Stoli's sister! Yes, I said sister...this little orange kitty was dumped off with her brother and has since found her furrever home in Philadelphia! She has such a spunky personality and loves to play.
Meet Amber! Amber was rescued from the Animal Care & Control in Brooklyn by The Kitty Connection. She was scheduled to be euthanized so we drove down and picked her up. She was grosly underweight, infested with fleas and ticks, and her collar was so tight around her neck that it had gotten embedded in her skin and the hair was completely gone around her neck! We got her back to good health, good weight and found her a loving home in Southbury where she spends her days watching the birds out the window and always looking for affection.
Meet Stella! Stella came to us near death from the AC&C in Manhattan with her two babies. She was scheduled to be euthanized for a cold, so we recued her and her two babies and got them back to good health. Just when we thought we were bringing Stella in to be spayed, the vet informed us that she was pregnant again (must have happened prior to us getting her). So we took her home and let her deliver another litter of four healthy little babies! Since then, Stella has been spayed and vaccinated and sent to her new loving home in Newtown! She will always have a special place in our hearts here at A Kitty Connection, since we got to see her give birth to her little ones. She was such a great mom!
Meet Ziva! Ziva is one of Stellas babies that came to us from AC&C! She was terrified of people, starving and full of fleas! We took good care of her and socialized her. Now she is with her furrever family in Southbury. She loves attention, cat
Meet Blacky! Not the best picture but boy did she like to sleep! This is also Stella's baby (and Ziva's sister) that we rescued from AC&C in Manhattan. We socialized her and got her back to perfect health and she now resides in New Britain with her furrever family. They sent us pictures moment after Blacky arrived at her new home and she fit in perfectly!
This is Gemma! She is one of Stella's four babies that she delivered here with us at The Kitty Connection. Gemma was always the curious and fiesty one, very independent. She now found her furrever home in Oxford and is doing well. Her new mom treats her like a child, so cute!
Meet Edie! This is one of Stella's babies as well. She is such a funny kitten, always running around chasing her own tail! She is super cute and loves attention and has found her forever home in Boston! We love and miss you Edie, hope you are doing well!
Meet Dallas! Dallas is also one of Stella's babies that was delivered here at The Kitty Connection. He got his name because he loved to watch football! Crazy, right? Dallas was the personality of the bunch....always getting into something yet he loved to be loved. Dallas found his PURRFECT home in Southbury...close enough that we can still go visit! He has a new girlfriend and her name is Bunny! =)
Meet Peanut! (the second from the right) We feel terrible that we don't have a better picture of Peanut, but we have a good excuse! We never got the chance! Peanut was adopted by our vet tech because he was in love with him! From the moment these babies went to the vet, he knew he had to have Peanut from the day he saw him. So, when Peanut was old enough, he was adopted out to a great family (the vet tech) in Southbury.
Meet Jetta! Jetta has had a very rough life. She was rescued by The Kitty Connection from a housing development in Oxford. She had two litters of kittens out in the wild, and came to us near death. Jetta is somewhat feral, does not allow any petting or handling yet, but we are working on her. She is a beautiful cat who truly needed a miracle. She has been treated for giardia, toxidia, worms and parasites and has been doing much better.
This is Austin! He is one of Jetta's babies! He came to us near death, very under weight and scared of human contact. Luckily for us, he was young enough to forget his brush with death and now can't get enough attention! He absolutely LOVES to be held and petted and actually prefers to get his attention before his breakfast! Such a sweetheart! He is still very timid around new people, but we are confident that with some patience, anyone will find him to be as loving as we do.
Meet Dakota! He is one of Jetta's babies as well! What a beauty! Dakota came to us infested with parasites, worms and fleas and was starving and cold. Luckily, we saved him in time! He has had all necessary medical treatment and is ready to find his furrever home. He is still a little skittish with new people, but he is young enough that he will come around. He has a playful personality and purrs like a motorboat when being petted.
And this is Montana! He is also Jetta's baby and is Dakota's brother. Such a sweet little innocent face! Don't let him fool you though....he is the curious little one of the group. He loves to play and explore and has found a fascination with running water! He loves the faucet! He is super cute and looking for his furrever home.
