Connecting kitties with their furrever home!
The Kitty Connection is a Connecticut based no-kill cat rescue organization. Our founders established The Kitty Connection to provide rescue and relief to the homeless and endangered cats in our community through programs that offer shelter, foster, social and medical rehabilitation, feral and stray management, spay/neuter subsidy and community education. The Kitty Connection also offers pet sitting, dog walking and house sitting services so all your pets are safe and happy when you are away!
We are 100% volunteer staffed and your donations are essential to continue our work! We thank you for your generosity.
Mission
Our mission is to provide safe shelter, veterinary care, and socialization for stray, abandoned or abused cats until good permanent homes can be found for them.
Our Values
The Kitty Connection believes that all cats deserve a safe, loving and happy home. We are firmly opposed to the practice of declawing, considering it is cruelty to animals, and an unethical practice. We believe that all tamed cats should be kept indoors. No cat in our care will be euthanized except when suffering and beyond medical treatment, and the cost of the medical care shall not be a factor in this decision.
Network of Foster Caregivers
Most of the adoptable cats are kept at the founder’s home, until they find their furrever home. Our network of foster homes cares for the rest of the adoptable kittens, nursing mothers, and special needs cats.
Our Outreach Program
Our outreach program focuses on feral cat colony management, Trap Neuter Return, and subsidized low-cost spay/neuter programs.
Our Education Program
The Kitty Connection volunteers work with the public to educate them about issues related to overpopulation and responsible pet ownership.
